Continuing Professional Development

At Everyday Vet Nursing CPD, I offer practical, reflective, real-world CPD tailored to veterinary nursing teams.

Sessions are built around your caseload, your equipment, and your goals — whether that’s critical care, infection control, reflective practice, or simply making the most of what you already do.

With experience in referral nursing and education, I focus on flexible, non-judgemental CPD that strengthens skills, supports autonomy, and fits real-life practice.

Hi! I'm Eden - RVN, educator, and founder of Everyday Vet Nursing CPD.

With over eight years in referral practice as a lead nurse, I’ve seen first-hand how confident, well-supported veterinary nursing transforms patient outcomes and team wellbeing. My role included line management, leading morbidity and mortality reviews, and overseeing infection control protocols — experiences that shaped how I support nurses today.

Now, as a lecturer working alongside current RVNs, I bring that clinical experience into practical, reflective CPD that’s grounded in real-world nursing — not just theory.

At the heart of Everyday Vet Nursing CPD is the belief that every nurse deserves the space to reflect, grow, and work with autonomy. By recognising what your team is already doing well — and identifying areas for growth together — we can build CPD that strengthens not just skills, but confidence and collaboration too.

Sessions are tailored to your practice, your caseload, and your people. Whether you want to focus on critical care, infection control, reflective practice, or making the most of your everyday equipment — I’ll help you support your team in doing what they do best.

Everyday Challenges. Everyday CPD.

My approach

I offer support rooted in the essential foundations of veterinary nursing — from everyday care to clinical confidence. Whether you're building skills or refreshing the basics, my approach is hands-on, practical, and designed to promote autonomy. With a focus on reflective learning, I help vet nurses grow in real practice, not just on paper.

Tailor a Session: Practical CPD Built Around Your Practice

These aren’t one-size-fits-all lectures — they’re hands-on, discussion-based workshops designed around your practice, your patients, and your goals.

Whether your team wants to:

  • Build skills and confidence in nursing critical patients

  • Develop reflective practice and learn from experience

  • Explore morbidity and mortality reviews in a no-blame culture

  • Make better use of the everyday equipment you already have

  • Strengthen infection control, SOPs, and clinical care bundles

We will build sessions around the things that really matter in your day-to-day nursing.

What to Expect:

Each workshop is:

  • Delivered at your practice

  • Based on real-life clinical scenarios

  • Adapted to your caseload, equipment, and team experience

  • Designed to boost autonomy, critical thinking, and confidence

How it Works:

We’ll start with a free planning chat to understand what your team needs most.
Then I’ll design a tailored, practical session that’s relevant, engaging, and ready to apply the very next day.

Let’s turn everyday nursing challenges into confident, evidence-based care.

Blood pressure monitoring - made simple & accurate

Is blood pressure monitoring causing you headaches? Whether you’re using a Doppler, oscillometric monitor, or another device, this workshop will help you get confident and accurate with whatever equipment you have in your practice.

We’ll review the correct techniques for measuring blood pressure, why it’s such a crucial vital sign, and how to interpret your results to improve patient safety. You’ll learn practical tips to reduce common errors and avoid guesswork, so your readings are reliable and meaningful every time.

Ideal for veterinary teams who want to boost their monitoring skills, improve accuracy, and feel less stressed about blood pressure measurements.

Key topics include:

  • Overview of common blood pressure monitoring devices (Doppler, oscillometric, others)

  • Proper cuff placement and technique for accurate readings

  • Understanding systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial pressures

  • Troubleshooting common challenges and errors

  • Using blood pressure data to guide patient care decisions
